The TA-6055A is a Mach Airspeed Test Fixture built to support the testing and repair of the 2082 and 2083 series of Servoed Mach Airspeed Indicators (SMASI) used in some Boeing aircraft. These mach airspeeds are synchro driven and require a coarse and fine input for altitude and a third input for airspeed. This test fixture was designed around the test procedure and is interfaced with our TA-1001 panel which provides for two of the synchro sources and two Angle Position Indicators (API). This interface allows for one API to monitor all three synchro sources as well as monitor the VMO and MACH follow-up resolvers in the head assembly during the Pre-Cal alignment and test. Also provided is an interface circuit card that allows plugging in the mechanical head assembly and interfacing it directly to the panel for discrete testing of the Flags, DC motors for the airspeed pointer and command bug and the MACH/VMO stepper motors. The integration of both the 6055-01 test fixture and the 6057-01 Pre-Cal test set makes the TA-6055A a valuable asset to any facility.
